My childhood and youth as a Swiss living abroad brought me into contact with various cultures and languages already at an early age. Born in London, my path led me via the Congo for the first time to Switzerland, where I attended kindergarten and pimary school. A six-year stay in Amsterdam followed, where I graduated from primary school and attended a Dutch grammar school focussed on the education of modern languages. In Zagreb, in former Yugoslavia and today's capital of Croatia, I graduated from a local grammar school and was a student of English and German language and literature studies at the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy. In 1981 I got my Bachelor of Arts degree as a teacher of foreign languages. The practical acquisition of my language skills in the respective country combined with my linguistic studies and a distinctive gift for languages form the very solid base of my language skills.

Throughout my entire career I have always worked without exception for international companies, including 19 years for Swissair and one year for American Airlines Decision Technologies in Dallas, Texas. In all those years, both I and my employers benefited from my diversified language skills while attending international conferences and fora. Having realised this, it was in the mid-nineties that I finally decided to act in my spare time as a freelance interpreter and translator for the authorities and the courts.

Owing to the diversified and very versatile duties and responsibilities which were entrusted to me during my career, my current range of services is by no means merely restricted to the use of my language skills. My portfolio is complemented by a high degree of proficiency in the application of the Microsoft Office tools Excel, Word and Powerpoint, which has already allowed me to carry out various customer-specific tasks for several companies. In addition, my range of services offered comprises customized language and PC-user classes for individuals and small groups. My university degree as a certified language teacher and my longstanding experience as an instructor for various computer programmes fully qualify me for the successful execution of these services.
